Bucking national trends, an independent family-owned pharmacy and medical products company is continuing to grow and thrive in the Lewiston-Auburn area. Bedard Health Care Group held a groundbreaking ceremony in Auburn last month to mark the launch of a 36,000-square-foot pharmacy and “medical campus.” The project, which will ultimately create 10 new jobs for the company, was made possible by a $1.7 million SBA loan. Construction has begun, and developer Building Solutions Inc. anticipates the shell to be up by year’s end.
