The Auburn Municipal Beach at the Lake Auburn Outlet is the only portion of Lake Auburn where swimming is allowed and indeed encouraged. The beach is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Hidden by luscious evergreens, this is a find that eliminates the crowded beaches of southern Maine. Bathhouses for changing and clean restrooms are available. The fee is $2 for adults, and $1 for kids to high school-aged teens. Source: Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce.
